Last week I finished editing Ian and Lisa’s wedding photos. Their Leicestershire wedding took place at St Peter and St Paul’s Church in Syston. The great wedding ceremony was followed by a very relaxed celebration at Maiyango Hotel in Leicester City Centre. I started my photography at Lisa’s mum’s house where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. The weather was absolutely awful when I drove there in the morning. I must say that we got quite lucky in the end. It rained a few times on the day but only when people where inside and there was no need for travel. After 5 minutes’ drive I found myself outside the church where I met Ian and arriving guests. The ceremony went smooth and after confetti and handful of formal shots we were off to Leicester City Centre. Hotel Mayiango and its function room is located on top floor with a terrace overlooking the town. The reception was very relaxed and informal. There were no speeches or sit down wedding breakfast. Instead the congregation could enjoy the party mingling around. After the hot buffet there was a time for cutting of the cake and the first dance. The day was absolutely fantastic with its relaxed atmosphere. Ian and Lisa are fans of a documentary wedding photography and I was glad to preserve the wedding memories for them.
I received a nice email from the couple after they had viewed their photos:
“We received the photos this morning. What can I say, they are amazing we love them. I love how you have captured the day and all the special moments. We can’t thank you enough, you have given something that will keep our wedding day alive forever. They are just perfect thank you so much 🙂 ”
